Mayor's Office
After a decade or so of being ignored by a number of Municipalities, it is commendable that RR is taking action against corruption and illegal practices by reporting the compromised staff at the Municipalities to the Mayor’s office. Opposing corruption is indeed an inherent duty of the Mayor’s office, and it is crucial for them to address such issues promptly and effectively. The Mayor’s Office has failed to act and has to this day, not taken RR seriously.
If these matters are not resolved, RR will proceed with the legal actions, and plan to serve legal Notices to the five Municipalities involved in 2023, with a general Notice to all Municipalities to rid themselves of corruption is a step in the right direction. By taking this action, RR aims to raise awareness and encourage Municipalities to address corruption within their ranks.
Legal action that corrects corruption, is a meritorious claim, which is a note for the likes of Justice Verehoven, who believes that a water tank can be filled without inlet pipes, and the Canadian Revenue Agency can be involved in crimes.
Notifying the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and other law enforcement agencies about the situation is also a necessary measure, who need to understand that “serve and protect” does not mean ignoring victims of crime. It is important to involve the appropriate authorities to investigate and take appropriate legal actions against those involved in corrupt practices. The appropriate authorities must not do or take inappropriate steps and create more problems for Canada.
